NY. Managed the Fellowship Program, Concordia Career Advancement grant program, Artists’ and

Audiences Exchange Public Service Program and Curatorial Exhibition program, In conjunction with

the New York State Council on the Arts, coordinated and conducted Artists’ Community Meetings,

Outreach Contact Meetings and Professional Development Seminars throughout New York State,

bringing together marginalized artists, addressing issues they face in their communities and careers,

Responsible for overall course offerings, including visual arts classes, outreach programs, workshops

and director of the summer arts camp. Determine class content, hire and supervise instructors,

prepare class brochures and marketing strategies, and produce press releases. Coordinate all aspects

of exhibits for the center gallery, including curating exhibits, corresponding with artists, making

shipping arrangements, preparing exhibit labels and price lists, hanging gallery installations, and

assisting with show openings.

 

1998/03 Artist Studio Manager. Bronx River Art Center, Bronx, NY. Managed studio residency program.

 

1996/97 Instructor. Nassau BOCES Cultural Art Center, Syosset, NY. Taught environmental and sitespecific

sculpture at the area’s high school for the arts.

 

1995/96 Instructor. Educational Center for the Arts, New Haven, CT. Taught figurative sculpture, drawing,

portrait sculpture, and installation art at the area’s high school for the arts. Responsible for curriculum

development, budgeting, and obtaining materials.

 

1994/06 LEAP Coordinator and Instructor. Creative Arts Workshop (CAW), New Haven, CT. Liaison

between LEAP, CAW administrators and class instructors. Responsible for hiring instructors, purchasing

materials, scheduling classes, and managing the program. Also taught art for underserved

third grade students through the Leadership, Education, and Athletics in Partnership (LEAP) program.

 

1993 Instructor. University of Pennsylvania and the Arts League, Philadelphia, PA. Developed curriculum,

budget, designed and taught classes in objective and figurative drawing and abstract and figurative

sculpture for undergraduates and adults. April - December 1993.
